Psalm 127:3, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

Based on Psalm 127:3, Children are a heritage from the Lord, and with that in mind, Baby Dedication is does not save a child, but rather is the parents’ desire and commitment to pray for their child that he or she would come to salvation, to diligently teach their child the ways of the Lord, and to model for their child a love for God with their hearts, souls, and minds; and to pray that God would use their child for His glory.

Bible Verse for Child's Dedication

1. Is it your desire, with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to love the Lord your God with your heart, with your soul, and with your mind, and to allow that relationship to lead you in this relationship with your children?

2. Do you recognize your child is a gift from God, a heritage from the Lord, and do you give heartfelt thanks for God’s blessing?

3. Do you promise to set an example before your child as they grow up, through your relationship with God, through time in the Word, through prayer, and to speak of the things of the Lord?

4. Do you commit yourself to the responsibility of diligently teaching your child God’s principles, and with the Lord as your guide, to encourage and direct your child to making the choice of Christ as Savior and Lord?”
