Baptism/Church Membership Form
Baptism- We believe that Baptism is an act of obedience as found in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We also believe that Baptism is identifying ourselves with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection- Romans 6:4, “We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in the newness of life.”
Church Membership- We believe that Scripture shows the importance of belonging to a local body of believers for Worship, Encouragement, Accountability, Teaching, and Strengthening. Hebrews 10:23-25, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as in the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
